School days
The last three months or so have been very busy for us all. We moved house on May 22nd, leaving all our beloved family and friends to start a new life in Swindon. Life on the whole has been good to us here. "The Palace" (as home is affectionatly called) is coming on now, we only (!) have 40-50 boxes left in the garage to unpack. Our house is 2 doors away from Lydiard Park and House, so we have the perfect grounds to walk around in every day when the mood takes us. Council events take place in the park and it can be a hive of activity at the weekends. Chloe particularly enjoys the adventure playground. We still have the climbing frame in the garden along with the playhouse and bubble machine, so on days when we can't go out we have the best of both worlds, great for play dates.
Here we are, nearly 5 and off to first school. Chloe started Tregoze Primary School on 15th September and looked very smart in her uniform . She is coping well with mornings in mainstream school, and is very excited to be learning.
West Swindon is also great for amenities. We have a large branch of Asda close by, a few local shops and the council buildings which house a swimming pool, ice rink, gym, relaxation suite, library and cafe area. We have a cinema and bowling alley opposite too, and a branch of pizza hut.
Simon is still working in Cheltenham, for the moment. The area here is good for computing works, so who knows what the future holds.
Chrissie is now recieving Disability Living allowance and Carers allowance for Chloe, so is not eligable for work. She continues to to care for Chloe during the afternoons while Chloe is at school part time and is working towards passing the practical driving test by Christmas. All is going well with that and she is sitting her theory test on Tuesday (26th).
Chrissie's health hasn't been great, but we are getting it looked into. There is a possibility that Chrissie may be suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndtrome, another name for M.E. and the GP is running tests at the moment to rule other possibilities out. Chrissie is still cheerful and bright most of the time, hopeful that a positive diagnosis will lead to practical help and the posibility of a car and disabled badge.
And finally, Chrissie and Simon have been dieting. So far Simon has lost over a stone, and Chrissie is half a pound away from the one stone lost goal. We are both feeling great to have achieved this, and continue to work towards our goal weights. Weight watchers seems to be working well for us both.

This is our park, and Lydiard house. All this on our doorstep!
